TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Linens, blankets, pillows, and towels are not provided by Camp Horizon. They must be brought by the guest.

You must replace or reimburse Camp Horizon for infirmary supplies that you use.

Protect the facilities from undue abuse or damage.

Clean all facilities used, leaving them in the same condition in which they were found.

Follow all safety rules (Activity Areas I.e. Pool, Waterfront, Rifle, and Archery Ranges).

The Fire Circle is away from the buildings and safe for open flame. Someone from your group should take responsibility for supervising the campfire and knows how to operate the safety equipment (water and fire extinguisher).

The ceremonial Pipe Ceremony and Smugging will only take place in the flame safe area. Otherwise Camp Horizon is a tobacco free facility.

Prohibit the use of alcoholic drinks, drugs, smoking, or gambling by the attendees.

Ceremonial dancing is permitted, secular dance is prohibited.

Require decorum in speech and dress for all attendees.**No two-piece swimsuits please.**

Prohibit any animals from being brought by group guests. **No pets are allowed to be brought by guests.** (Guest requiring use of service animals or emotional support animals MUST CONTACT Camp Horizon and get permission before attending the Gathering)

NO Firearm exceeding Camp’s range specifications may be brought onto the campgrounds, all firearms bought onto the campground must be declared to the Director or his designee upon arrival. They must be stored and used in accordance with the Director’s guidelines.

No food or drink in the chapel or in sleeping quarters (Lodge, Dorm, and Cabins).

Any and all immoral, criminal, or violent behavior as Biblically defined in the Scripture is forbidden, [1 Cor. 5:11-13].

Medical expenses due to injury or accident are the responsibility of the guest (or their parent or guardian).

All incidents must be reported immediately to the Camp Director for corrective action, investigation, and reporting to our insurance company.

The camp insurance is secondary to any personal and group insurance. Incidents reported after 24 hours may not be covered at all.

Camp Horizon agrees to provide scheduled meals, lodging, the use of grounds, waterfront and sports equipment, a hayride, a campfire setup, and local phone service. Unsecured wireless Internet access is available in limited areas for guest access.

Meals will not be served before 7:30 AM or after 7:30 PM.

The camp reserve the right to limit or cancel activities based on issues such as safety, security, or risk of liability. The camp reserve the right to limit group use of Camp Horizon facilities to those who agree with their Statement of Faith and conform to their Standards of Behavior.

Additional fees or optional paid services:

  • Ski boat use (driver included)
  • Local bus use (driver included)
  • Canoe trip—Local (Canoes and Transportation)
  • Canoe trip—Outside of Lake County (Canoes and Transportation)
  • Cleaning Fee (A cleaning fee may be added if your group fails to meet minimum standards. Someone from your group should plan to stay until all rooms are clean and inspected.
  • Graffiti/defacement of property--$50.00 per incident or actual cost whichever is greater.
  • Lost arrows--$5 each
